A continuation of Of Family and Stone's exploration of the quiet realities of generational trauma, Family Relations explores the emotional experiences and manifestations within the artist's maternal family.  The hardships of the family's shared pasts are irrevocably ingrained in how they interact with one another and their personalities.  Past trauma remains mostly unhealed, leading to gossip, miscommunication, and dragged on family stresses. Insisting “they turned out fine”, habits and assumptions remain unchallenged. In ignoring trauma of the past, it etches itself into their present.
